Episode Zero: Being With Change Transcript

Cassandra: [00:00:00] Hello. Welcome to [laughs] the podcast formerly known as Change Is.

And I'll share the new name of the podcast at the end of this little welcome.

So, I published the trailer back in May. And what I've come to realize is that this podcast space that I'm envisioning creating is more than just change. [laughs]

And another element to the renaming of this podcast, as well as just, [00:01:00] uh, uh, further development in this podcast, whatever the name is -is that I now have a new level of clarity that the containers that I'm making in my both personal and professional lives, and all of, and [laughs while speaking] all of the lives I live, the containers that I co-create, that I individually create really need to grow with me. It's a necessity for me. I can't have a container that I design that cannot move with me as I change and grow.

So naming it Change Is, yes,[smiles while speaking and then laughs while speaking] it could change with me because changes in the title. Um, and yet, [00:02:00] really what I entered into this podcast creation with was it being about the topic of change, right? What if we want to talk about other things?

And what if those other things I don't even know about right now in this moment?

I want to be open to that. I want to intentionally make the container so that it, it can welcome that in rather than hem and haw about if this really fits into the topic. Or if this needs to be a different project.

So. In a way, this is me [small laugh] welcoming you to a behind-the-scenes before you [laughs while speaking] have even seen the stage.[laughs] [00:03:00] Uh, in a way, this is being more clear about the path that I'm going to be going on, that we're going to be going on, hopefully, together.

And in a way, this is me making clear that this is, this is a process that I, and you, and we are in right now.

So we're behind the scenes. Soon we'll be on the stage, but on the stage really is still very much engaged in the experience- in the process.

So it's not really a show, if, if we keep going [small laugh while speaking] with this metaphor. It's not really a show with [00:04:00] rehearsal and practices and trying to get our lines right.

It's an experience.

It's an experience that I am saying yes to by serving as the host. That you, the listener, is saying yes to, for however long you choose to listen.

And the different humans who join me, and more-than-humans, Ernest, a hummingbird who visits right outside my window. Wherever we might go together- literally metaphorically- we're all choosing to be a part of this [00:05:00] experience together and allow that intentionality of stepping into an experience together to, I guess bring about that authenticity that I'm envisioning.

I thought that this podcast show would be, uh, season-based with each season focusing on and a realm of change. And [laughs] that's a great idea. And yet, I don't think that container really fits who I am and how I do things. So I have two beautiful dialogues that have been already recorded, already experienced - kind of with that framework in mind. And so I'll be [00:06:00] sharing those in the coming two episodes.

And thereafter... we'll see! [laughs]

It's gonna be an experience in being together, in being connected, in learning together, in being authentic together, in intentionally choosing to experiment, to play.

And so I'll, I'll end with sharing what the name of the podcast is now. And, it's very simple.

Be with Cassandra.

It's the name of the podcast. It's the name [00:07:00] of my way of offering my work right now. And it can grow with me. Be with Cassandra can mean a lot. And it is incredibly simple.

Simple, but not easy to be, right? It takes a lot of work to be able to arrive at being with yourself. Being with somebody else. Being with your environment. It takes courage to be with because it's vulnerable.

When you're really being with [00:08:00] you see a lot, you feel a lot. And I'm inviting you to be with me. Which, in a way is- it's really something that has taken me many years to come to, to feel centered enough, to feel worthy enough for someone to be with me, with me and all [00:09:00] I am.

And the reverse also is courageous to, to choose and to be ready to be with whoever is ready [small laugh while speaking] and courageously saying "yes" to being with you. So I invite you to be with me in this unfolding.

So. Thanks for listening. Thank you to you.

And. [laughs while speaking]

Yeah. I am excited for this.
